After two years of hardship, we’ve all been struggling to hold it together. Now millions of men, women, children (and animals) in Eastern Europe are fighting for their lives.
Many of us are sensitive to energy, and having to watch people suffer is triggering, upsetting, and draining
This is not a political message. This is an invitation to contribute to a world that needs us.
I hosted a live healing session in our Reiki community to send Reiki to Ukraine earlier this week, and it was powerful.
As energetic activists, we have the power to uplift ourselves energetically even when the world is in crisis.
If you’re a member of our Reiki community, the recording of our healing session is available in the Reiki in Action Facebook Group.
If you don’t practice Reiki (you can learn more about Reiki here), I want to gift you with this guided visualization-Beacon In, Beacon Out-I created to help clear and recharge your energy.
Back to the live healing session, I hosted.
I asked those who attended to imagine that we were all in one big room, freely voicing our difficult emotions. We shared our fears, anger, frustrations, sadness, and grief over the situation in Ukraine.
While it’s true we have to “feel it to heal it,” I explained that it’s important to acknowledge our difficult emotions without letting them take over.
What you focus on grows. Focusing only on your difficult emotions amplifies them.
Practice #4 of the Beacons of Change 12 Practices for Living at Full Power calls us to Bring Purpose to Pain.
How do we bring purpose to the pain we’re collectively experiencing right now?
We look for the spiritual lesson, and our collective spiritual lesson is to choose the vibration we want to offer the world.
I asked our Reiki community to imagine we were all holding hands, creating the space to ground and connect with each other in our big virtual room.
Space to connect with our inner light. The divine light. Then, we created a collective image of what the world needs right now.
Hope. Love. Compassion. Kindness. Resilience. Courage.
We used this image while we sent Reiki healing remotely to Ukraine. It was empowering, healing, and comforting to know we were making a difference without depleting our energy.
That’s the power of Reiki-you don’t have to rely on your own limited energy reserves that run out. You tap into the pure, limitless source of universal energy.
Our healing session was the Beacons of Change Manifesto in action: to raise the vibration in the world.
We treated ourselves with Reiki first, and then we sent healing energy to Ukraine.
Whether you practice Reiki or not, my wish for you is that you take care of your heart first.
Ground yourself. Invite the light. Allow yourself to receive divine love.
Resist becoming a force of fear and become a source of hope.
Don’t feel guilty for taking care of yourself because you’ll heal the world by healing yourself.
Use your self-care tools, practices, and wisdom to ground and recharge yourself first.
Then contribute a vibration of love, kindness, and compassion to the world.
Even though I’ve felt heartbroken over the past few weeks, I do my part as an energetic activist.
I start every day with intentional movement, Reiki, and meditation so I can recharge my internal batteries and be in service to others.
I send Reiki remotely to Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
I allow myself to be human. I open my heart to feeling all range of emotions.
I reground and recenter myself throughout the day.
I end my day with a ritual for clearing unwanted energy and recharging.
I fall asleep with Reiki and with a prayer – may there be peace.
I’ll end with a few phrases from the Beacons of Change Manifesto:
“And when we fall (because we will), we always choose to rise.
We rise to shine our light and live as a guide for others.
We are the Beacons of Change.”
