She’s always with you: Your Inner Goddess

By Michal Spiegelman

Your Inner Goddess.

Who is she?

Your Inner Goddess is your feminine energy. She’s that part of your soul who is fully connected with the divine feminine. She loves you unconditionally, and she always wants and knows what’s best for you. Once you pay attention to her, she shines.

It’s easy to get caught up in the minutiae of day-to-day life and forget her. She tends to get quiet when there is a lot of noise around, and she shrinks back to where she won’t be noticed. But she’s always with you, and whenever you pause and turn inward (what I call “beacon in”), you meet her in person.

It’s easy for you to connect with your inner goddess when things are going well, and you feel great. It’s much harder to remember her when you drop into a negative place. Although that’s when you need her the most, you might feel disconnected from your inner goddess in times of struggle.

Be intentional about activating your inner goddess connection:

  • Remember to take a breath and bask in the light of the goddess you are.
  • Tell yourself “Goddess on!” and LOVE HER.
  • Embody her: feel the connection with her in your mind, heart, spirit, and body.

What does she love?

She is sensual.
She loves the smell of a good perfume or essential oil, the touch of a soft feather or silk, the sounds of good music and birds, an expansive and beautiful view.

She loves pleasure.
She wants you to allow yourself to create moments of bliss, luxury, and gratification for yourself. Sex is one of her favorite things, and she doesn’t need another person to make love to you. She’s totally okay when you make love with yourself.

She loves the mother of all goddesses: Mother Nature.
In summertime, your inner goddess feels nurtured by water. The ocean, a lake, a pond or a bath. She loves the cleansing and purifying effect water has on her.

She is free and wild.
She doesn’t care what other people think of her, and she owns her freedom to be joy-full.

She lives in sanctuaries.
If you take care of the clutter in your space and create a supportive environment, she is the happiest.

Rituals are one of her favorite things.
Lighting a candle. Burning incense. Relaxing into a morning routine. Those things feed her soul.

She loves colors.
When you wear only black, she can’t breathe, and she withers. When you wear, eat, and add colors to your life, she blossoms.

She is creative.
She doesn’t have to be perfect to enjoy art-making, and she finds unique ways to express her imagination.

She’s confident.
She believes in you. She does not doubt that you are beautiful inside and out, and she’s always there to remind you how special you are.

What does she need?

Your inner goddess needs to be heard.

Fed.

Loved.

Hugged.

Nurtured.

Touched.

Accepted.

Unleashed.

Expressed.

Respected.

Appreciated.

How can you love your Inner Goddess?

Pay attention to the voices in your head. Recognize the tension between your inner goddess and your inner critic. Your inner critic (the gremlin) will try to take over and remind you in many different ways that you are not enough. Get ideas on how to dim the light of your gremlin and shine the light of your inner goddess in this blog post.

Whenever you recognize the gremlin’s voice, take back your power and say, “Stop it!” Once you remind the gremlin that you are the boss, it will get quiet, and your inner goddess will naturally speak.

Listen to your body. It will tell you who is ruling: your inner critic or your inner goddess. You feel shrunk, tense, disturbed when your inner critic is in charge. You feel expansive, light and free when it’s your inner goddess who shines.

I’m going to repeat the following lesson because it’s important. Be intentional about activating your inner goddess connection:

  • Remember to take a breath, and bask in the light of the goddess you are.
  • Tell yourself “Goddess on!” and LOVE HER.
  • Embody her: feel the connection with her in your mind, heart, spirit, and body.

And remember: She’s ALWAYS with you!
