There was an empty seat beside me, and a woman I had never met asked me if she could join me. I was on the train back to New York City following my silent meditation retreat. I invited her to sit with a big smile. She smiled back and said, “There is so much peace and love in your eyes. May I ask where you’re coming from?”
To be honest, I did not plan to chat on the train after being in silence for a week, but there was something so tender in the way she asked me that I shared about my experience.
When she asked what helped me to overcome the difficult moments, those moments when hard thoughts surfaced and emotions bubbled up, I immediately replied, “It’s the Reiki.”
That one conversation with a stranger made me realize that Reiki has become so second nature to me, such an integrated part of my being, that I take it for granted. I almost forget how it eases my transition into the day every morning. That five minutes of self-Reiki calms me down when I am overwhelmed. That since I found Reiki 24 years ago, it has helped me to heal my anxiety, depression, health issues, emotional pain, and other conditions. That it has become my spiritual practice, my guiding light, my anchor.
This conversation on a train with a stranger reminded me that the one thing that energized me, calmed me, guided me, and supported me during my silent meditation retreat was the simple practice of laying hands on my body and allowing unconditional love and pure energy to be with me.
My challenge? How do I get the message across that if more people are vibrating from a higher level with Reiki the world will be better?
How do I get to your heart and soul, beacons, and encourage you to connect with Reiki without coming across as “salesy” or “pushy”?
Please believe me, and I am being really honest with you when I say this:
When I invite you to connect with Reiki, I am not inviting you to take a class. I am inviting you to embark on a profound experience, one that brings deep healing and an uplifted vibration that leads to miracles and transformation.
I want to share with you some of my blogs and other resources specifically about Reiki.
This is one of my most popular blogs. If you or someone you know suffers from anxiety, I present three ways (one of them is Reiki, but there are two more) to raise your vibration and deal with anxiety: “Knock, Knock, It’s Your Anxiety!”
If you are one of those people with a very creative “monkey mind” that is super active (mostly at night…), you might enjoy reading “How to Practice Mindfulness and Live an Intentional Life (with Reiki).”
With fires in Australia, terrorism, crime and other frightening world events, many of us (especially those who are empaths or highly sensitive to energy) feel disturbed and deeply worried.
While we don’t always have the power to change our circumstances, we can choose to shift from feeling anxious and hopeless to feeling centered and at peace. In this vlog, “How Reiki Can Help You Challenge the Negativity Around You,” you can watch (or read) a summary of the top three values that Reiki brings to people’s lives.
If healing your relationships is a high priority for you right now, I think you’ll enjoy reading how Reiki helped Anne shed emotions and relationships.
I learned some of my biggest lessons about deep healing from an experience I had years ago when I was asked to treat a woman who had survived a plane crash. The healing lessons I learned from that experience affected my work and my teaching, and I believe that those lessons can be valuable for you as well.
Like I shared with the woman on the train, I wouldn’t be where I am today, living life to the fullest, sharing my light, serving as a beacon, if I hadn’t been living and breathing Reiki for 24 years.
Taking the Reiki class in 1996 was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life.
I can only hope that I have inspired you to make a decision that can change your life as well and join one of our classes.
