Our ability to live, love, and lead at full power was definitely tested this year. As we journeyed through 2020 together, we carried each other through our highs and our lows, trying to do our best, moment by moment.
Your emails, comments, feedback, and contributions served as my fuel to continue to blog (or vlog) weekly. You keep me going.
I’ve gathered the best and most popular blogs of the year, and I’m excited to share them with you today.

How to detach, not escape, from the global chaos and pain
The chaotic world we live in triggers old trauma and pain for many people. Growing up, we learned to build armor around us so we didn’t have to feel the pain. We learned to escape the chaos. Turning to drugs, alcohol, food, and work are only a few of the unhealthy ways people cope. We look for something that brings us relief. Many of us end up turning to spirituality. Is spirituality becoming another unhealthy escape for you? Read this blog and find out: “How to detach, not escape, from the global chaos and pain.”
Why you should light a candle every morning
Every weekend in the “Saturday Self-Care” post, I inspire the women in the Thriving Woman Facebook Group for Women to share one practice they are planning to use for self-care. Recently, one of the members shared that since reading this blog, she lights a candle every morning. Whether you light a candle every day or once a week, your inner light is ready for you to connect. In the blog, I present a simple and yet profound ritual that will make you connect with your inner light and bring divine light in: “Why you should light a candle every morning.”
Pushing away negative emotions is normal and human. Who wants to feel worried or afraid or deal with sadness or anger? But the only way to become emotionally stable is to do the opposite and welcome your emotions. The “Honor Your Feelings” guided visualization will help you become mindful of your emotions and ease into feeling better. This practice became a favorite for many, many women this year, including myself.

This is one of my favorite blogs of the year. I hope you understand why, when you read it: “We are not the same. But we are.”
