The “Renew, Rejuvenate, Awaken to the Magic of Spring” Ritual

By Michal Spiegelman

I get excited every time I see a tree blooming or a flower appears. I love the awakening opportunity of the body, the opening of the heart, and the expansion of the soul when winter is changing into spring. With every additional sign of spring that I see in nature, I give myself permission to bloom a little bit more.

Monday, March 20th, is the official date for this year’s Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.

What is the Spring Equinox?

The Spring Equinox is an astrological event that brings us a balance of day and night because the sun is sitting on the Earth’s equator (“Equinox” means “equal night”).

As we approach the Equinox, this meaningful day of equal day and night, we are reminded of the necessary need for balance.

Energetically, the Spring Equinox is a time to renew and rejuvenate. Not only on March 20, but in the next few weeks this is the perfect time to activate our bodies, our emotions, our Chakras, and our endless potential. It is time to bloom, grow, expand, and lighten up after the long, heavy, quieter months of winter.

Each season has its own beauty. Just like nature transitions from one season to the next, we humans go through this transition as well.

How Can We use the Transition from Winter to Spring as a Time to Rejuvenate?

First, we want to get into “observing” mode.

Take some time to reflect. Notice how you feel physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

With a sense of curiosity, ask yourself a few questions:

If my body could talk, what would it say right now?

If my heart could talk, what would it say right now?

If my soul could talk, what would it say right now?

Then, start looking at what are you ready to release and leave behind you as you transition into spring.

With a sense of curiosity, ask yourself more questions:

What am I willing to leave behind me as winter changes to spring?

What parts of myself am I ready to renew and rejuvenate?

Make sure you make this reflection process a fun one. There is no better place to ask these questions than in nature. You don’t have to do it in the traditional way, writing down your answers. Think outside the box. You could spend time in nature, have the questions with you on a piece of paper, and when you’re there, pause, ask the questions, and allow nature to guide you with the answers.

Go deeper with the “Renew, Rejuvenate, Awaken to the Magic of Spring” Visualization

Whenever you want to “spring up”, whether it is around the Spring Equinox time of year or not, take a pause from the busy-ness of life, go to a quiet place where you can spend some time by yourself, and take yourself through the 4-minute “Renew, Rejuvenate, Awaken to the Magic of Spring” Visualization.

Release expectations.

Release concerns.

Release heaviness.

Allow your body to awaken.

Allow yourself to renew and rejuvenate.

Intend for your body, heart and soul to awaken to the magic of spring.

How do you feel?

Tell me in the comments area!

Let’s spring up together!

I have to admit… I recorded this visualization standing, (rather than sitting), staring at the trees outside my window, making big sun movements with my hands, and expanding physically, while recording. It is only 4 minutes – but it made me feel much better. Would love to hear your feedback.

Thank you Michal! I needed this today – I loved the visualization – in addition to getting to hear your lovely voice again, it helped me just “be” still and that is super powerful. I loved the awakening of each chakra. Thank you for sharing your gifts and walking the talk. Blessings and abound in grace, Karen
