My #1 way for being in the now

How often do you worry about the future or regret the past?

We lose a lot of energy to the past and future and it prevents us from enjoying the moment.

We want to stop the race in our head. We want to be fully engaged in anything we do. We want to stop DOING and start BEING.

But how?

My Reiki Journey

I discovered Reiki more than 20 years ago when I was going through a difficult time in my life.

I went through 6 failed pregnancies. I am very grateful to have 2 wonderful children, but back then, I was depressed and miserable. I didn’t allow myself to enjoy life and I spent most of my energy on grieving for my losses and couldn’t look past the pain and agony. I heard about Reiki form a friend and my intuition told me to explore it.

Right after taking the first Reiki Class, my ability to feel good about life came back to me. The simplicity of getting into a calm state of mind with Reiki amazes me even today: you simply place your hands on the body or a few inches from the body and you allow the pure universal energy to energize and balance you.

Fast forward to today

I am honored to help hundreds of people every year tap into their unlimited potential for simply BEING.

My classes are always full and I have people from all kinds of backgrounds taking a step to start a stress-reduction practice: corporate America, medical doctors, bankers, care givers, teachers and moms. Male and female. Young and old. They all find in Reiki a way to better deal with worries and fears and to create a positive, powerful life.

One example of Reiki’s power

The other day, I read an email that Jennifer, wrote to one of our students who asked for support. In her email, Jennifer shared how her Reiki practice helps her cope better with life challenges. This is what she wrote:

“One of my biggest challenges was always being late. I struggle with staying on track so I am on time for things. I get distracted and do something else and end up late. I really can’t stand being late, but it kept happening. It got so bad I was almost fired from my job. Being late was a real obstacle for me. One time after taking the Reiki training, I threw my arms up and screamed, “why am I always late for everything? how do I change this? In the moment of silence that followed my tearful plea, I was able to step outside the frantic energy of the moment and see the calm that was around me. It’s hard to explain it in words, but I felt like I’m covered with a calm, peaceful blanket of protection that made me present in a way that I never felt before.

The Reiki helps me stay on track. When I realized this was an obstacle that Reiki could help me overcome I was elated! I started taking the time to use Reiki every evening to get rid of all the “stuff” from the day. I get centered on what is needed for the next day. In the morning I get up 20 minutes earlier to get centered on what is scheduled for the day. I write down anything that pops into my head as I’m trying to focus so I can let go of it.

I am a new person because of these simple steps. I am sleeping better and my health has improved since I’m not in a panic state ALL THE TIME. I have more time to play and laugh. I’m more fun to be around and I am happier.”
