Have I lost my path? Have you lost yours?

By Michal Spiegelman

I left the movie theatre feeling inspired and touched. Seeing Lady Gaga “unmasked” in A Star is Born, playing an ambitious woman who rises and grows into voicing her truth, shook me up.

The next morning I felt restless and confused. I started to question whether I was really living my own “Living at Full Power” message. I asked myself if I was being as loud as I could. I started to doubt myself. The sense of empowerment I felt after the movie downshifted into an old behavior of questioning and pressuring myself and obsessing over finding an answer and quickly.

Have you ever tried to push and control too much to make something happen? Then you know the feeling. You tell yourself not to obsess over this thing that is bothering you, yet you can’t stop thinking about it. You get a knot in your stomach. Your muscles tense. You distance yourself from your loved ones, quietly thinking, Leave me alone. I have an important matter to take care of.

It took a few hours of being tense before I realized I needed to realign. With my inner wisdom. With the universe. With my true self. If I had truly lost my path, my practice would help me find the way back.

I dragged myself into the armchair I use for meditation and sat quietly while giving myself Reiki.

My body started to relax. A sense of peace washed over me as I surrendered to the universe and asked for guidance. (Every time I give Reiki to myself, I surrender to the energy of the universe).

A message emerged from within: Go to the park. Take a walk. My first reaction was, That doesn’t make any sense. I’m trying to find an answer to my problem. Going out will be a distraction. I almost forgot that the universe knows better than I do. So I put on my sneakers and took a walk.

I saw parents walking with their children and couples with their dogs. There was so much life in the park, so much connection. Between families and friends. With the trees and the leaves and the extraordinary nature surrounding us.

As I was walking, I felt more connected. Movement released the tension I had felt earlier. It became clearer and clearer. I hadn’t lost my path. I had lost my connection.

Consider this:

Anything you experience is part of your path. You can’t lose your path. But you can lose your connection.

When you have a conflict with someone, communicating better is part of your path.

When you feel ashamed or not good enough, loving yourself more is part of your path.

When you lose a job, discovering a door that has opened for you to share your gifts in a bigger way is part of your path.

Watching Lady Gaga stand in her power, take risks, and play big made me doubt myself, but after reconnecting I remembered my truth.

It is my mission to help other women awaken.

It is absolutely in my path to feel like I have lost my path and to reconnect because it makes it easier for me to relate to your pain and help you find your way along your path when you feel off.

We will continue to have moments of doubt, you and I, because we are human.

It is our sacred responsibility to continue to live at full power, maintaining a connection with spirituality and purpose, with our inner wisdom and our true selves.

My dream is to keep inspiring you and like-minded women to shine like the star you were born to be. To serve as the beacon you are called to be. To remember that you don’t lose your path. You only lose your connection, and it is always in your power to find it.

That’s the whole point and the whole purpose of the Beacons of Change community.

I have put a lot of heart, soul, and wisdom into creating this video that speaks the message of connection.

Watch it, and let me know what part lights you up.

I truly would like to hear! Posting in the comments will be a perfect place to share.
