[Video] A JOY-full practice for dealing with a challenge

By Michal Spiegelman

Many of us grew up being scared to show and express emotions. No wonder we became experts in numbing and shutting down our feelings.

If you have followed me for a while and are familiar with my message, you know that I believe in the importance of acknowledging, honoring, and welcoming your feelings, including the painful ones.

The women who belong to my online sisterhood know that the best remedy when facing a challenge or feeling overwhelmed or stressed is to become mindful of their emotions.

A few weeks ago, I took this group of women through a unique practice for responding to challenging situations—a practice that was focused on joy.

Connecting with pure joy is a contagious process. It was fascinating to witness the energy shift only a few minutes into our call. You could clearly see each woman’s facial expression, body language, and energy level changing on the spot.

I don’t want to share too much about the practice here. Instead, you should watch the video. I promise you this: The next time you feel overwhelmed, stressed out, or anxious, this 15-minute practice can help you shift back to balance quickly.

Don’t wait until you are stressing out. Get familiar with the practice now. Notice how it makes you feel. Then, in times of need, use it to elevate.
