Coronavirus Safety Update

At the Beacons of Change, health and wellbeing are at the heart and center of everything we stand for. As we learn more about the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus, we’d like to share our plan of action for keeping our classes and workshops clean and safe environments.

We want you to know that we are taking extra precautions to ensure that all of our students participating in NYC and Atlanta classes and workshops stay healthy.

Here are some of the new procedures we have implemented.

No-touch practice. During our Reiki classes and workshops all exercises will be practiced with no touch or contact with another person.

[Reiki classes] – Individual and clean sheets will be available. Clean sheets will be available for the practice on the massage tables. The massage tables will be cleaned before class. You are welcome to bring your own sheet and a blanket for the practice. This isn’t a requirement; we’ll still have many—very clean! —sheets and blankets for you to use.

Sanitize your hands and gear thoroughly before, during and after class. As an added precaution, you’ll find we’ve placed canisters of wipes and hand sanitizers in the classroom.

Individual handouts, pens and markers. Each student will have their own manual/handouts and a brand-new pen. Name tags will be ready in advance, so you won’t have to use markers that were used by other students.

Stay home if you’re sick or not feeling well. We are asking all students not to attend classes and workshops if feeling ill.

Be responsible. Please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website to understand the virus and steps to take to keep yourself safe.
