I recently had a conversation with a woman who is going through our Reiki Master program. She was frustrated and sometimes resented herself for not being more successful with her morning routine. She wants to treat herself with Reiki daily. She wants to be consistent with her yoga practice. On the days that she’s successful, she sits in her walk-in closet (the only space in her house that is private enough for her to relax).
She takes her time combining breathing with Reiki and essential oils. The routine makes her feel calm and centered. But often, situations emerge that are out of her control, and she is not able to practice the way she wants. Very quickly, she becomes resentful and disappointed in herself.
One of the Reiki principles we live by is, “Just for today, be kind to all living things, including yourself.” She knows that resentment and disappointment are the opposite of being kind to herself, but she can’t help it.
This conversation reminded me of many conversations I have had with women who struggle to stick with their practice, whether it’s Reiki, yoga, meditation, or another morning practice.
Watch today’s vlog to learn a technique that has helped many women stick with their morning routines.
If you enjoyed hearing me describe my morning routine, and you’re curious about my Reiki and meditation practice, allow me to be your guide.
Come learn Reiki with me. (And make sure you don’t miss the short videos we added to the page: DJ, Corrin, Cleta, Dee, Chiraz, Sarah, and other women share what changed in their lives as they added Reiki to their morning practice).
Thank you. That was very helpful encouragement.
