Hey Beacons, and welcome to this week’s Upshifting Vlog.
A few weeks ago, one of the women in my Beacons of Change online sisterhood posted the following on our private Facebook group: “Hey ladies, I’m having a hard time this morning with the negative news we are constantly bombarded with. I feel like our society is losing its mind. So many random acts of violence. How do you all center and ground yourself so you’re not depressed by these things?”
I hear this sentiment a lot lately from so many of you—which is not surprising because you are Beacons. You care, you are connected to the light, and you have a deep sense of compassion and empathy. And, as a Beacon, you also tend to take things on, especially if you’re an empath.
One of the beautiful things about our online sisterhood is that we have life calls where we meet for about 30 minutes at midday, and I take the group through a centering exercise to help them to ground themselves.
One of their favorite meditations is the, “Beacon In, Beacon Out” meditation. I want to recommend that you try this meditation exercise and hold on to it as a tool that you can use anytime you need to reconnect with your inner light or bring in some divine light. Living as a Beacon, a source of light, means maintaining that connection by taking some time to connect inwardly and to opening yourself to receiving divine light.
I’m going to read the “Beacon In, Beacon Out” meditation from the workbook that I use in my workshops as well as with the private clients who I mentor and coach one-on-one. I invite you to get into a comfortable space and sit with your eyes closed as I walk you through this meditation.
Take a deep breath and close your eyes.
Drop to a place of softness and self-compassion. Visualize an opening at the top of your head and start noticing a ball of light entering your body through the Crown Chakra at the top of your head.
This beautiful ball of light is moving down through your chakras, naturally removing any energy that doesn’t serve you and giving it to the earth.
Allow yourself to connect to the light, beacon in, and intend for the light to clean, cleanse, and purify you.
Visualize roots growing down from the soles of your feet, creating a solid connection between you and Mother Earth, allowing the ball of light to travel deeper and deeper into the center of the earth. You feel grounded and supported, like a tree with roots of light.
Let the light shine and purify you internally and ask that any energy that doesn’t serve you to be sent to the earth, the universe, and the light. Ask for this energy to recycle itself.
Pause and witness the purifying process being completed and the energy being recycled.
Bring your attention back to the center of the earth, where the recycled ball of light is waiting for you. Reverse the flow, and visualize the ball of light traveling through your legs, the center of your body, your heart, your face, and out through the Crown Chakra at the top of your head.
As the light moves up above the body into the universe, it gathers wisdom, compassion, and unconditional love. Your inner light is blending with you, like there is no separation, and you are one with the light. You keep beaconing out, traveling higher and higher above your body, deepening your connection with the divine light.
Give yourself permission to become one with the light within you, the light above you, and the light around you.
Let the light shine. Beacon in. Beacon out.
Once you feel connected with the divine light, ask for guidance. Pause and listen.
Accept the feedback you receive, whether it shows up as an image, a message, a word, or a feeling. Take it in with gratitude and appreciation.
Now send the divine light from above back to the earth like a fountain. Visualize it being recycled.
Feel yourself grounded and connected to the earth again. Bring up pure energy from the earth to your heart. Connect with the compassion and unconditional love in your heart, and end with a simple thank you.
With a sense of gratitude and appreciation, take a deep breath.
Come back to the present moment. You have beaconed in and beaconed out.
How do you feel now? I would love to hear from you.
Upshifting Mission of the Week:
Practice the “Beacon In, Beacon Out” meditation daily.
Sticky Note of the Week:
I beacon in.
I beacon out.
I’m protected.
Thank you for being a Beacon. Thank you for being committed to this journey. Thank you for being willing to upshift yourself so that together we can be the Beacons of Change who are raising the vibration in the world one person at a time. See you next time.
I would Love to share this, but wish to know if this would be acceptable… most of the Energies I consider helpful/hopeful/loving, but some who need this might be more cynical. Thank you for your feedback on how to proceed in sharing. It’s Magnificent ❣️
Dear Linda, you are always welcome to share anything I write or create. We are on this journey together, spreading the light and making a difference. I will email you. Hugs, Michal
