10 ways to complete all your Holiday tasks on time and stay sane

By Michal Spiegelman

  1. Set realistic expectations.
Remember, you’re human. You’re probably not going to accomplish every little thing you can think of. Check your expectations.
  1. Take things off your plate.
Don’t add more and more stuff to your full plate. Ask yourself daily: what can I take off my plate?
  1. Give yourself credit.
Look at your progress. ?Instead of dwelling on what you still have to do, focus on what you’ve already done. Instead of expecting others to appreciate you , appreciate yourself!
  1. Accept that it’s not going to be perfect.
You’re not going to be perfect, your house is not going to be perfect, your mother-in-law is not going to be perfect ? and that’s ok!
  1. Prioritize.
Choose and decide what tasks on your list are most important and schedule your time accordingly.
  1. Delegate.
Let others help you.? Stretch yourself and ask for help
  1. Listen to your body.
Rest, slow down, take breaks. Eat, drink ? nurture your body, especially when you’re so busy.
  1. Keep it in proportion.
Look around you: remember the there are people out there who are hungry, alone, who have lost loved ones. Be grateful for what you have right now, in this present moment.
  1. Set boundaries.
Say no! When you say NO to others, you say YES to yourself.
  1. Make time for YOU.
No matter how busy you are, when you make time for yourself every day, ?you can choose your reaction to stress and take control over your actions. Take a walk in nature, meditate, stretch, read something inspiring, set an intention in the morning, give yourself Reiki, practice affirmations.

Sometimes guilt is good

Have you ever heard of healthy guilt? Unhealthy guilt is toxic, but healthy guilt is a spiritual practice that helps us to recognize which of our values is taking priority. A “lazy” morning watching tv recently put my sense of both to the test.
